Dear Friends & Families,

I will be volunteering again for the Auckland City Mission Christmas lunch this year. Last year I was assigned as Santa’s Helper. This year I will work as Server.

I decided to do a bit more this year after getting an email from the Auckland City Mission:

“On Monday the Mission started distributing our Christmas emergency support. Each day since then we have provided food and presents for 300 families. It is always overwhelming at the start of December, wondering how we will meet the need we are seeing. This year is no different, and currently it is an anxious time at the Mission.

The Mission must raise $1.3 million to provide essential services to families, not just over Christmas but in the difficult first months of 2016, and we need your help to do this. Unfortunately, this year seems to have been especially difficult for families, and the demand is higher than ever.”
